“What should I do?” Let the answer begin with the right understanding and responsible next steps.Ruqyah Support · Nurul Qalam Academy

Choose the path that fits your need

If you need urgent medical care, get that care first. Ruqyah support is not a substitute for it.
When should you get emergency care first?

If there is a plan to self-harm or an immediate risk, loss of consciousness or a seizure, severe chest pain or difficulty breathing, or sudden weakness or numbness on one side of the body, do not wait for a ruqyah appointment. Go to the emergency department of the nearest hospital or call the national emergency service on 999 (Bangladesh).

This list is not a diagnosis from the booking form; it is only a short safety guide to help you recognise an emergency.

Ruqyah in one minute

Understand ruqyah simply and clearly

Ruqyah is asking Allah for protection, wellbeing and healing through verses of the Qur'an, authentic du'as and permissible supplication. It does not mean treating any person, object or method as a healer in its own right; healing comes from Allah alone.

  • Principle of permissible ruqyah · Sahih Muslim 2200
  • Sahih al-Bukhari 5736
  • Al-Isra 17:82
  • Ash-Shu'ara 26:80

Our approach

  1. We listen and understand first
We won't rush to assume a particular cause just because a few common signs match.
  2. We make your own practice simple
We show you simply how to do authentic ruqyah for yourself and the daily Sunnah practices.
  3. Both can run side by side
Where needed, ruqyah and du'a can continue alongside medical or mental-health care.
  4. Clear scope and fees
Before you book, the time, the fee, the kind of help you'll get and the relevant policies will be clear.
Understand the problem

First, make sense of what you're experiencing

The same kind of distress can have different causes. So rather than fear or guesswork, it is better to weigh the Shari'ah side, everyday realities and any medical side together. These guides follow the related chapters of the book.

Remember: the cards below are for understanding, not a diagnosis. Don't conclude that jinn, sihr or the evil eye is certain in your case just because a few signs match.

Evil eye and envy

Its Islamic basis, how to stay careful, and what to do without blaming anyone without proof.

Sihr / magic

Understand the reality of sihr, but don't assume every problem in life or every strained relationship is magic.

Worries about jinn

Alongside belief in the existence of jinn, keep other causes of fear, sleep problems, stress and physical experiences in mind.

Waswasa / OCD

With repeated unwanted thoughts, doubts or repeating the same act, understand the help you may need alongside Shari'ah practice.

Sleep and nightmares

Look at nightmares, sleep paralysis or night-time unease from both sides — practice and practical causes — without adding to the fear.

Physical and mental distress

With pain, panic, long low mood or other symptoms, a medical assessment may matter alongside ruqyah.

Start yourself

Ruqyah for yourself, in five simple steps

This is not a secret or complicated method. Recite the Qur'an and authentic du'as asking Allah for healing and protection, keep up your daily practice, and continue any treatment you need.

  1. Get your belief clear

Healing comes from Allah. Ruqyah is a permissible practice and means.

  2. Begin with authentic recitation

    You can begin with Surah al-Fatihah, al-Ikhlas, al-Falaq, an-Nas and authentic du'as.

  3. Recite for yourself

There is evidence for reciting the Mu'awwidhat, blowing lightly and passing the hands over the body.

  4. Keep up daily practice

Keep salah, the morning and evening adhkar, the bedtime practices and Qur'an recitation regular.

  5. Don't rush to interpret what you feel

Crying, yawning, trembling or drowsiness can be an observation; on their own they are not certain proof of any particular cause.

Du'as and authentic practice

Don't just recite a du'a — know its meaning and use

Each du'a comes with when to recite it and a reliable source, so you can practise with understanding. The Arabic texts below have been checked again against the authentic narrations.

Du'a to recite in illness

Du'a for healing

English meaning awaiting scholarly review.

When to recite: When making du'a and ruqyah for someone who is ill.
SourceSahih al-Bukhari 5743

The ruqyah of Jibril (AS)

Du'a of ruqyah

English meaning awaiting scholarly review.

When to recite: When doing ruqyah for someone else who is ill.
SourceSahih Muslim 2186

Practice for a place of pain

Du'a for pain
أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ

English meaning awaiting scholarly review.

How to recite: Place your hand where it hurts, say “Bismillah” 3 times, then this du'a 7 times.
SourceSahih Muslim 2202
Where an authentic narration gives a specific number for a du'a or practice, follow it. Where no number is set, don't present a number of your own as Sunnah.

Personal consultation

Organise your case at the first visit, review progress at the follow-up

Only a few essential details are taken before booking, so the time can be spent on what matters. At the first visit we look at your current situation, any relevant earlier treatment or ruqyah, and your next steps. At a follow-up we talk about progress since the last consultation, new changes and any adjustments needed. This is not full treatment, nor a promise of any particular result.

FAQ

Short answers to common questions

Does ruqyah just mean treatment for jinn or magic?

No. Ruqyah is a permissible Shari'ah practice for healing and protection. There is an authentic narration of ruqyah with Surah al-Fatihah in the context of physical suffering too.

Is it permissible to take a fee for ruqyah?

Sahih al-Bukhari reports Companions accepting payment for ruqyah with Surah al-Fatihah, and the Prophet ﷺ approved it. So a fee can be charged for the service, but the fee and scope should be clear in advance.

If I tremble or cry during ruqyah, is that a diagnosis?

No. These can be noted as observations, but on their own they are not certain proof of jinn, sihr or the evil eye.

Can I do ruqyah while taking medicine from a doctor?

Yes, ruqyah and medical treatment can go side by side. Don't stop prescribed medicine on your own decision.
